Into what industry category does Camelot Services fall?
Property and facilities management
Describe your role within the company.
My main role is as a Property Admin. I currently oversee, for a portion of our properties, that the maintenance is taken care of each month. This includes both one-time service request from tenants and recurring monthly work such as landscaping. I also handle many of the MC questions around the office when something isn’t working and/or a feature needs explaining.
Describe the general usage of Maintenance Connection within your organization.
MC in our organization is used to enter and keep track of work orders, and to provide our clients with reports on their properties. We have expanded the use to keep track of property maintenance history, property specifications, tenant history, and expanded use of reporting.
What are your opinions about Maintenance Connections customer support options in whole?
MC support options as a whole have been great. I will typically browse or post in the forums first. I [have] started using the support email which has been extremely helpful. Most times if support couldn’t help directly from my question they would take the time to screen share and figure out the issue.
You have been active in the MC User Connect community. How has MCUC played a part in helping you reach your organizations goals.
The major way MCUC played a part in our organizations goals was with reporting. Reports were already in use for basic things like preventative maintenance, costs, etc. However, using the forums and support I was able to learn how to create more advanced reports and use SQL. This allowed us to provide reporting for our newer clients who required more advanced reporting. Two of these reports were, one that was able to include photos of our properties so our clients could have a visual way to see the condition, and an advanced SQL report that gave a Pass/Fail for our technicians based on work order completion time.
