We're excited to offer MC v8.4 to all Cloud Hosted customers as an automatic update on November 7, 2018. In this release we are focusing on work flow improvements in both the Main Application (MRO) and MC Express.
Workflow Improvements in Main Application (MRO)
Users can now attach new documents to a specific Work Order from the Complete/Close dialog before closing the Work Order. Maybe a technician discovers a particularly helpful document that wasn’t previously associated with the Asset. Now the technician can add the document as part of the Work Order closeout process. This streamlines workflow and increases labor effectiveness:
We have also enhanced Global Search to help users find items more efficiently and with fewer clicks. You can now search by Asset Serial Number, and the Global Search dialog also includes a new option to search across all a user's accessible Repair Centers rather than having to search one Repair Center at a time:
Workflow Improvements in MC Express
We have added a new Pending Assignments page in MC Express in which technicians can accept or reject their assignments. Schedulers and dispatchers can also configure a new Rules Manager Event and a new Smart Report to quickly and efficiently re-assign rejected Work Order assignments:
We have also updated the Stopwatch feature in MC Express to give technicians the ability to record different types of work time (Regular, Overtime, etc.). Previously, the Stopwatch feature only recorded labor time in regular hours:
